Let’s talk about an area where the 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor really shines on Coon Rapids streets– its excellent engine and transmission. The standard 3.5L EcoBoost engine in the Raptor is more powerful than the RAM’s 3.6L V6. Despite their technical offset in size, Ford engineers managed a best-in-class 450 horsepower, while the RAM’s V6 clocks in at just over 300 horsepower.
The Rebel simply doesn’t match the Raptor in off road capability, either. With the Raptor, power is delivered to all four wheels by default with a reliable 4×4 system – no additional upgrades needed. In the case of the Rebel, an extra fee of $3,500 is needed to unlock that ability in Anoka. The 2021 F-150 Raptor offers better ground clearance, more power, and even clever offroad focused technology like a low-speed, low-traction cruise control system. Not to mention other offroad necessities like a skid-plate. (Which, again, the Rebel doesn’t offer as standard.)
